Do you want to use your English writing skills to make a living abroad, but don’t know how to get started?
Are you new to a country and feel overwhelmed by everything you need to learn about local business and the culture?
Or maybe you think English writers are underpaid abroad and that it would be impossible to make a full-time living .
Trust me, you can make a great living writing as an expat. How do I know?
Because I’m doing it myself.
And when I got started 15 years ago in Israel, I had no family, no friends and no business contacts in the country whatsoever.
Who are you and why should I listen to you?
A word-loving, chocolate-eating, child-chasing Canadian-Israeli
I’m Leigh Hartzman. Besides writing for a wide range of Israeli hi-tech and internet start-ups, I help English speakers start and grow their own freelance writing businesses abroad by sharing what has worked (and what hasn’t) for me on my own journey.
In 2009, I decided to start my own freelance writing business after working as an in-house copywriter in Israel for 8 years. Within just a few months, I replaced my full-time salary with paid freelancing jobs and then exceeded it. Working as a freelancer has allowed me to earn a great income, while enjoying enough flexibility to spend quality time with my kids and make trips back to Canada to visit family.
Whether you want to make money on the side, start a full blown freelance writing career or even find an in-house copywriting job, I’m here to share what I’ve learned. Stick around for valuable advice from my real life experience here on the blog, online trainings and more.
